An exciting opportunity exists for friendly, passionate, reliable and enthusiastic people to join the Aquatic Centre Team, as casual Learn to Swim Instructors.

About our Swim School

Our Swim School is AUSTSWIM accredited and offers a fantastic environment to learn and enjoy one of life’s most important skills. Lessons are held Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm and on Saturday's from 9am to 1pm.

About the Position

As a casual Learn to Swim Instructor with Orange City Council you will plan and deliver fun, friendly and motivating swimming lessons and water safety to children of all ages and levels of ability - promoting water safety and instilling a life long love of swimming - all in an enjoyable and safe environment!

So what are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who has a passion for teaching children swimming and water safety

Someone who has excellent communication skills and is able to interact with the general public and communicate effectively with children

Someone who is professional and self motivated but also enthusiastic, fun and friendly

Someone who can work as part of a team but also independently with small groups of children

Someone who's flexible and can work the shifts we require

Someone who can motivate and inspire children to learn.

Skills/Experience

As a minimum you need a current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety accreditation (including a registered AUSTSWIM Teacher Licence number), current Provide CPR (HLTAID001) certificate and current NSW Working with Children Check. You'll also need to be able to satisfactory undergo a Criminal Background Check.
